This one is special in many ways.

It's the first time I go all cinematic. It was a great journey to put all the tracks together. Some of them evolved for years! I hardly can believe I wrote the main melody for the first track Mustafa in 1996 when I was just 21 years old.

Also, on a more serious note; I really hope you like it and you support the cause of the music: all the proceeds of the music will go to the victims of the earthquake in February 2023 in Syria and Turkey.

In the Netherlands we have a big Syrian and Turkish community. So many of these wonderful people lost someone. This made the disaster so much more than a terrible item on the news. The grief is very close to home and I cannot do nothing.
I wanted to take my old melodies, evolve them and put them out into the world. But I got to think; maybe the melodies can bring more than just beauty?
So, here it is. My way to try to help. So this one is not about me or a story I invented. This is about them. I tried to honour their wonderful rich cultures and give back to those in need.
